Live Bands

Jeff Yette, the founder of 44° North Promotions (44°N) credits his musical taste and talents to his family where he grew up to the sounds of the trumpet and exposure to the Norwood Brass Fireman ... a Northern New York icon. Throughout his youth, he was exposed to most genres of music including rock-n-roll, classical, country, jazz, blues and rock. Jeff played brass through his youth and studied music theory in college. He has be a staple of the Northern New York music scene as the front man of such groups as Straight Line, Thump, 44°N, and his most recent project Jacked.

At the core of this four-piece group are brothers Rich and Jay Russell.  These 30-something siblings have been playing and writing music since their early teens and have been former members of area groups such as Thump, 44° North, Stereo Type, North of Nowhere and many others.  John Glaser provides the rhythmic foundation of the group on percussion.  John is a relative new-comer to the Northern New York music scene. John has played for many years in original rock groups through the North Western US as well as filling the role of Ringo in a Beatles Tribute band in Hawaii. Jeff rounds out the group with lead vocalist and backing keyboards.  Combined, Jacked represents over sixty years of live performance, recording and sound design experience.   Their large catalog allows them to play extended hours or multi-night engagements without the need to repeat songs (unless, of course, the audience requests them).   With band influences ranging from the Santana, John Mellencamp, The Tragically Hip and genre influences from Country, Blues, and Rock ... Jacked is sure to please.

Jacked is currently seeking venues to establish on-going relationships as well as private engagements such as wedding receptions.  The typical show is four hours in duration with two fifteen minute breaks, during which pre recorded music is provided.   

Jacked's original music has been featured on several internet radio broadcasts around the world and they will be broadcasting a live show over the Internet in the very near future.  Their single "Come With Me" is featured on the Rock 4 Life compilation CD available on iTunes.

Disc Jockey/Master of Ceremonies

In addition to being a performing musician, Jeff has served as a speaker and Master of Ceremonies for groups up to 5,000 in attendance since 1988. Applying his background in music and public speaking, Jeff has kept the bodies on the dance floored for countless weddings, reunion, anniversaries serving as both a live musician and a Disc Jockey. DJing is done with the same professional gear and lights used for Live Band performances with crystal clear digital music.
